Maja Blanca Recipe
"Maja Blanca" or coconut cake is a Filipino dessert made from fresh coconut milk, cornstarch, and sugar. The original Maja Blanca Recipe does not include young coconut, corn and milk. But in this recipe, I added condensed milk, young coconut and sweet corn kernels for added taste and more creamy texture. This luscious dessert is easy to make and the ingredients are very common and available in the market.

Historically, kare kare was most probably derived from the indian curry, which Filipinos called “kari”, and then adapted to local ingredients and later on evolved to “kare kare”.
