Ginisang Baguio Beans dish together with the ground beef or pork is very simple to prepare and cook. These delectable green vegetable Baguio beans because they are mostly grown in the Cordilleras provinces like Benguet and Mountain Province, where the temperature is cooler than the lowlands in the Philippines and Baguio City is the most popular destination during the hot summer months which are abundant of green beans.
To add more flavor, use oyster sauce instead of soy sauce in sautéing Baguio beans.
Good for serving: 3-4 persons
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kilo baguio beans (green beans)
- 1/2 kilo ground beef or pork
- 1 Small onion cut in half and sliced crosswise
- 4 Cloves of garlic peeled and minced
- 4 Tbs. of oyster sauce
- Salt and ground black pepper
- Oil for sauteing
Cooking Procedures:
- Begin by slicing the baguio beans about an inch long and then rinsing them well.
- Heat the pan add oil.
- when the oil is hot, sauté the garlic and onion then add
ground beef for 4 minutes.
- Let it cook for 2 minutes while stirring, Cover and cook it for 2 minutes.
- Add oyster sauce, baguio beans, ground black pepper. Stir, cover, and let simmer for 6 minutes on medium low heat. Remove cover and stir.
- Add salt and pepper if needed, then replace cover, and cook for 6 more minutes or until the beans are tender.
- Serve with rice and fried pork chops or fried fish on the side.
