Ginataang Kuhol (Escargot in Coconut Milk) Recipe

Ginataang Kuhol is consider as one of the exotic dishes in the Philippines especially in Central and Southern part of island of Luzon because of its main ingredient the Kuhol. Kuhol is a edible snails, or in French call them escargot. The said dish is typically cook in coconut milk, ginger and hot chili pepper.

Several restaurant in the country served Ginataang Kuhol as one of favorite appetizer and fingerfood with cold beer. At home typically served it with hot steamed rice during lunch.

Tinolang Palakang Bukid (Stewed Frog with Ginger and White Pumpkin)

Frog tastes like a chicken. You heard that before? Yes! it is true, frog is really tastes like a chicken. I remember from my childhood when my cousin caught "palakang bukid" (a variety of edible frog) from rice field during the planting season. I requested to my mom  that I will take a lunch  or dinner to kuya Onad (my cousin)  house when I heard that he caught a frogs, co'z for sure they served any palakang bukid dishes in their table.

Kalderetang Kambing (Goat kaldereta) Recipe

Kaldereta Kambing (Goat Kaldereta or goat meat in tomatoes sauce) is one of the meat dishes every Filipino has come to love. It is a specialty of  Central and Northern Luzon as favorite pulutan and is a requisite during fiestas and special occasions. You can always find it in the menus of authentic Filipino restaurant. 

Variations of this dish is with beef, chicken and or pork. Beef Kaldereta is a common dish in the Philippines made with stewing cuts of beef simmered until tender. Another is with chicken or pork because of the price and availability.
